provide support to partners in our Business Division. The ideal
candidate will be responsible for...
- Heavy document production from drafting/editing documents,
preparing them for execution, and processing them once
executed.
- Support probate filing and deed recording procedures on behalf
of the client in accordance with specific deadlines.
- Effectively establishes and maintains well-organized files,
while managing the integrity of original client documents in
various formats, such as hardcopy, electronic, and various eRoom
platforms.
- Manages attorney's committee obligations; manages activity
logistics, event scheduling and coordination; production of
relevant materials.
- Manages billing processes to include time-entry, data review
and correction, final submission to meet all Firm-required
deadlines, maintenance of billing records, and research of disputes
and discrepancies.
- Manages all CLE and Bar Admission processing to ensure all
requirements and attorneys remain in good standing.
- Manages various client-driven activities, such as conflict
checks and waivers, engagement letters, and business development
initiatives.
- Prioritizes assignments and often prepares sensitive and
detailed correspondence, such as responses to requests for
information or regularly recurring reports.
- Prepares other routine, as well as non-routine, correspondence,
legal documents, forms, presentations and the like using advanced
knowledge and skills with word processing related and other
software programs; efficiently proofreads and edits text for
grammatical and typographical errors, and occasionally for
content.
- Effectively gains familiarity with routine office procedures
and forms in order to respond appropriately to detailed inquiries
concerning departmental activities and operations. The successful

- 2+ years prior relevant work experience within a Law Firm or
Professional Services environment is required
- Advanced use of MS Word (including redlining, advanced
formatting, and the use of Styles) as well as an ability to quickly
learn other applications
- Intermediate to advanced level skills using MS Office Suite;
strong computer aptitude in order to use various Firm-supported
software programs; proficiency working with PDF Essentials and
eRoom platforms is preferred
- Proficiency in the use of document management systems (iManage
preferred) Pay Range for Candidates in Los Angeles:$70,000-
$100,000 per yearThe range provided is the minimum and maximum
salary that Venable in good faith believes at the time of this
posting that it is willing to pay for the advertised position.
Exact compensation will be determined based on individual candidate
qualifications and location. Additional compensation may include
discretionary bonuses and overtime, if eligible. Overtime wages
earned will be paid in compliance with applicable law.Venable's
