Description: Recognized as an internal expert and thought leader in
area of expertise with broad experience across multiple functional
areas including design, production, and test. Works under
consultative direction against annual goals to manage large,
complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the
organization. Communicates within and outside of the organization
to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and
concepts. Develops or champions new systems, concepts, or
technologies. Recommends tactics and strategies that directly
impact the achievement of overall business results. -Essential
Functions:
- Directs all phases of production programs, from inception
through completion.
- Manages concurrency dependencies between active hardware and
software development and qualification, which overlap with
manufacturing production
- Ability to consider and negotiate complex changes across
multiple contracts to ensure favorable net benefit for the
company.
- Deep technical product understanding, including software,
mechanical, and electrical performance considerations. - - Serves
as a technical decision maker for both the internal project teams
and influencer of customer technical stakeholders.
- Drives program execution in order to achieve key business and
financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating
income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current
programs.
- Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of
company programs or subsystems of major programs.
- Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans,
Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and
financial terms/conditions.
- Serves as primary customer contact for program activities,
leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost,
schedule, and technical performance.
- Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts
for product research, development, integration and test.
- Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans
and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions,
such as allocating resources or changing contractual
specifications.
- Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from
technical, manufacturing and administrative areas
- Ability to travel 10% of the time.
- Viewed as an expert within the field by peers in and outside
the organization. -Qualifications: -
- Requires Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of prior Program
Management in a DoD manufactured product environment experience or
Graduate Degree with 10 years of prior Program Management in a DoD
manufactured product environment experience. - In lieu of a degree,
minimum of 16 years of prior Program Management in a DoD
manufactured product environment experience.
- PMP Cert or ability to obtain within 1 year. -Preferred
Additional Skills:
- Experience managing P&L for $100M to $300M major defense
production and development programs or portfolio
- Experience interfacing and managing customers and government
stakeholders
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Demonstrated strong communication skills
- EVMS proficient -In compliance with pay transparency
requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State,
Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State
is $130K-$242K. - For California, Seattle, Washington D.C.,
Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver,
Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role
is $150-$278K. - This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary,
as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not
limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers
